Dessert Artisan

Job Description:

As a Dessert Artisan, you will be responsible for creating delicious desserts, serving customers, and ensuring that the café maintains a high standard of hygiene and customer service. You will be part of a vibrant and creative team, bringing passion and artistry to every dish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly as they arrive and assist with seating.
  • Provide menus, take orders, and ensure all requests are handled efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle bill payments accurately and professionally.
  • Ensure the restaurant, equipment, and serving areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assist with general kitchen duties, maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Prepare meals, snacks, and coffees; creatively decorate ice cream and desserts.
  • Contribute to visually appealing displays of desserts and food items.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative flair for food presentation.
  • A genuine interest in food and beverage preparation.
  • High personal hygiene standards and knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations.
  • Good memory for recalling orders and specific customer requests.
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling bill payments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in a dessert café or similar setting preferred.

Job Types:

Full-time

Expected hours: 37.5 hours per week
